Dr. Saleem Raslan is a highly skilled interventional cardiologist with extensive training and expertise in cardiovascular disease and structural heart interventions. Board -certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He graduated in 1998 from Damascus Medical School and completed his residency in internal medicine in 2005. Following his residency, Dr. Raslan pursued advanced training in cardiovascular disease at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where he honed his skills in diagnosing and managing complex cardiac conditions.
Dr. Raslan further expanded his expertise with two additional years of subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology and Structural Interventional Cardiology at West Virginia University in Morgantown, Virginia. In addition to his specialization in structural interventions, Dr. Raslan has a keen interest in complex percutaneous coronary interventions as well as Peripheral Artery Disease. Dr. Haider Alwash is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with extensive expertise in cardiovascular medicine, complex coronary interventions, and peripheral vascular disease treatment. He earned his medical degree from University of Baghdad School of Medicine in 2006 before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Atlanta Medical Center.
Dr. Alwash completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at University of Texas Medical Branch, where he also pursued advanced subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology. Following his training, he served as an Assistant Professor at UTMB for five years, contributing to clinical education, patient care, and advancements in cardiovascular treatment before joining Brazosport Cardiology.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Alwash specializes in complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and is highly experienced in utilizing advanced intracoronary imaging and physiology technologies, including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), to optimize procedural precision and patient outcomes. His clinical interests also include peripheral arterial disease interventions and minimally invasive cardiovascular therapies.
