Stress Test

Routine Stress Test – exercise on a treadmill until you reach your target heart rate. Every 3 minutes you increase in pace and incline. Exercise typically is from 5-9mins

Exercise Nuclear Stress Test – Exercise Stress Test with high-tech imaging using radioisotope

Lexiscan Stress Test – Nuclear Stress Test where you do not walk on a treadmill, but are given a medication that mimics stress on your heart. The medication lasts approximately 1 minute.

Ultrasound

Echocardiogram – an ultrasound of your heart viewing the functionality of the heart muscle and valves

Echocardiogram w/Bubble Study – an echocardiogram done with temporary IV and agitated saline

Carotid Doppler– an ultrasound of the carotid arteries on both sides of your neck

Abdominal Aortic Ultrasound – FASTING ultrasound used to view your aorta in your abdomen

Arterial Doppler – ultrasound evaluating the arteries in your legs to determine blockage

Venous Doppler – ultrasound to evaluate for deep vein thrombis (blood clot)

Renal Doppler– FASTING ultrasound to evaluate renal artery (kidney) for blockage

Ankle Brachial Indexes– Arm and Leg pressures to evaluate for lack of blood flow in arms and legs

Cardiovascular Screening – Abdominal Aneurysm, Carotid Artery, and Ankle Brachial Indexes Screening (this test is NOT billed to insurance and is paid by patient $100)

Arrhythmia Testing

24hr Holter Monitor – small device attached to patient with 5 electrodes and leads patient wears for 24hrs to evaluate arrhythmia

48hr Holter Monitor– holter monitor worn for 48hrs

Event Monitor– monitor small device with 2 electrodes and cell phone to auto transmit or current symptoms transmit capabilities. Worn for 7-21 days depending on doctor order

EKG – 10 electrodes placed on the chest to evaluate for injury to the heart and arrhythmia
